UPCOMING SUMMER CAMPS FOR KIDS - AGES 7 - 11

Each of our 2025 Summer Camps offers a great opportunity for creativity, skill development, and fun.

Fee for each Camp: $230, includes the cost of materials. The cost of materials for teens' and children's classes are included in the fee. 

If you are a Glastonbury Arts members, you can take a 5% discount on each registration. Join Glastonbury Arts.

Campers should bring a water bottle and a peanut-free snack.

CLAY CREATIONS offers a fun and engaging way for young artists to explore the world of clay. Campers will learn various techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab-building to create unique sculptures, functional pottery, and more. With an emphasis on self-expression and skill development, children will discover the endless possibilities of clay while fostering their imagination and fine motor skills. July 21-24, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

ANIMAL KINGDOM   provides fun and easy techniques for drawing animals, starting with big shapes and then working out the details like the shape of ears, fur patterns, and textures. Young artists will bring animals to life painting on canvas and sculpting animals in 3D. Students are encouraged to bring their own favorite “stuffy” or photos of their pet to recreate in paint and clay. July 28-31, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

SUN, SAND, AND SEASHELLS explores the wonders of the beach through drawing, crafting, and sculpture! Campers will have a blast as they bring the magic of the ocean to life. With each day filled with various projects and beachy vibes, this camp is the perfect blend of creativity and summer fun. Join us for a sun-soaked week of artistic expression that’s sure to make a splash! Bring your own special collection of seashells (or we’ll have some for you!) to create a picture frame from your favorite summer memory. August 4-7, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

The Art Variety Pack  answers the question when you can’t decide which art medium to explore. Choose them all! Whether it's molding with clay, bringing illustrations to life through drawing, creating unique prints, diving into the world of fiber arts, or exploring new techniques, this camp has it all. Each day brings a new artistic adventure, allowing kids to discover new passions, sharpen their skills, and create engaging works of art.

Our Summer Camps Instructor Cassidy Molino is a graduate of the University of Arizona and currently teaches at Haddam Killingworth Middle School. Having grown up working at Teachart2Me, she has been surrounded by art her entire life. Previously she has taught private lessons and school enrichment classes in the Glastonbury Public School system. Past clients also include Smith College, Hartford Yard Goats, Hartford Public Schools, and the Soleil Holistic Health Services in Hamden, CT.

FALL CLASSES FOR KIDS AND YOUNG TEENS

THE WORLD OF CLAY (Ages 7 to 11), WednesdayS, September 17 to November 5, 4:45 pm to 6:15 pm

Young artists dive into the magical world of clay in this hands-on 8-week class, exploring the basics of clay through super fun techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab work. Each week, they’ll create unique projects—from functional pottery to imaginative sculptures—while learning about surface decoration, glazing, and the firing process. Perfect for beginners, this class is all about sparking creativity and building confidence as kids transform lumps of clay into amazing masterpieces. All materials and kiln firings included in the class fee, the only thing missing is your child's imagination!

REGISTRATION: Register early to avoid disappointment. Classes and workshops won't run if the minimum number of students haven't registered one week before the start date. Classes and workshops  are filled in the order received. Registrations will not be processed without payment. When you register, consider yourself confirmed: You will hear from us only if the schedule changes or the class is cancelled.


CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event a course or workshop is cancelled by Glastonbury Arts (e.g. insufficient enrollments, teacher illness, severe weather, etc.), all fees will be refunded to students. If a registered student withdraws from a class or workshop, the student must notify Glastonbury Arts via email two full weeks prior to the start of the class or workshop in which case we will refund the student’s registration fee less a $35 administrative charge. No refunds will be made for voluntary withdrawals less than two full weeks before the start of a class or workshop.


INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the event that Glastonbury Public Schools are closed or delayed, Glastonbury Arts will be closed. Classes or workshops not held due to bad weather will be rescheduled based on teacher availability. In the event that a class or workshop cannot be rescheduled, please refer to our cancellation policy. 


PHOTO WAIVER: Glastonbury Arts occasionally documents classes using photography for publicity purposes. Registration in a Glastonbury Arts class or workshop assumes permission by adult class participants to use such images for publicity unless the photographer is informed otherwise at the time the photographs are taken. Parents of students in classes for teens or children are asked to indicate their permission to photograph their children on the class registration form.
