2024 Judges for Awards
2025 Judges to be announced.
POLLY CASTOR (Art Judge) is an artist, photographer, poet, veteran homeschooling mother, thought leader, traveler, nature lover, reader, and former structural engineer. Her abstract artworks resonate with color and meaning. “My artwork is a form of meditation, a time of connecting with what is both beyond me and essentially me, an exploration within.”
LINDA JONES (Jewelry Judge) creates wearable art in the form of bracelets, earrings, and pendants, from shaping, inscribing, or piercing the metal, to filing, polishing, and oxidizing – all in the service of creating unique designs. Each piece is created with a rhythm, a jazzy pair of earrings, a classical necklace, or a tribal bohemian bracelet.
LIZ BLODGETT (Craft Judge) is a craftsperson and longtime advocate for craft education. She earned her BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University and pursued her master’s degree in art education at The Ohio State University. As a ceramic artist with a background in printmaking, Liz’s work uses techniques of majolica, sgraffito, water etching, and lamination to create illustrative imagery of beetles, moths, and tiny oddities in nature.
