Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy

We believe that the arts have the power to inspire change. In pursuing this vision, Glastonbury Arts seeks to manage our programs and organizational culture in a manner that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.

While diversity is often used in reference to race, ethnicity, and gender, we embrace a broad definition that also includes age, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, education, marital status, language, physical appearance, geography, and any other identifiers that make one individual or group different from another.

We resolve to create a space where all people feel heard and respected. We endeavor to create an environment that is welcoming to our artists, patrons and staff. We aim to challenge long-held beliefs and assumptions and explore new, uncharted areas in our programming.
